- The Blue Grotto is a sea cave on the coast of the island of Capri, Naples,Italy. it is the most famous sight on Capri, that is flooded with a brilliant blue light.
- The Blue Grotto is 25 meters wide and 60 meters long, and is about 150 meters deep, its entrance less than a meter high.
- Sunlight, passing through an underwater cavity and shining through the seawater, creates a blue reflection that make the cave lit by azure blue light.
- The grotto was known by the Romans, it was known to the locals under the name of Gradola, but it was avoided because it was said to be inhabited by witches and monsters.
- The Blue Grotto is a favoured tourist destination to tourists from around the world where visitors form long queues to get a glimpse inside for just a few fascinating moments.
