We have heard a lot many scary ghost stories . but many questions remaining still unanswered in our minds.. How many of us believe in ghosts ? Do they actually exist ? . let me brief you about some best haunted places on earth .

(1) Bhangarh Fort - Rajasthan , India

• Situated in the Alwar district of Rajasthan in India .it is a 300-km drive away from Delhi , As per a legend there was a black magic sorcerer who cursed the residents of the palace that they all would die an unnatural death and their spirits will stay there for centuries to haunt the fort / kila forever.

• locals say paranormal activities are observed in these places at night . there is a board on the fort gate that it is prohibited for tourists to stay inside the fort area after sunset and before sunrise. Locals say anybody who has been to this place after dusk never comes back ! 

    

       (2) Waverly Hills Sanitorium – Kentucky, United States

• the Waverly Hills Sanatorium In Louisville, Kentucky , USA is known by many as (One of the most haunted places on earth ).

• In 1910 was built in Waverly Hills. This building was intended for people who had tuberculosis since Louisville needed a hospital for the mounting tuberculosis cases in the area., but underwent massive renovations in 1926 .

• It is believed that as many as 63,000 patients died there. The death toll as well as the supposed mistreatment .TB treatments at the time of Waverly were primitive, experimental, and painful. Medical staff would often place sandbags on patients’ chests in an attempt to compress the lungs. They also tried electroshock therapy and experimental surgeries. Because of this, a stay at Waverly Hills was often an agonizing experience. are all recipes that may be behind one of the most haunted buildings in the whole of the US.

• Many believe that the hauntings in Waverly Hills are done by vengeful spirits. The most famous stories usually involve a place in Waverly Hills Sanatorium called "the body chute". There is also Room 502, where many people say a nurse was stabbed to death by one of the patients.

• There are vast amounts of varying reports, including full bodied apparitions , fleeting shadows , screams from empty rooms, footsteps, sudden cold spots, and disembodied voices among many others.

      (3)  Island of Dolls _ Xochimilco, Mexico

• Located on Lake Teshuilo in Xochimilco near Mexico City the island La Isla de la Munecas (The Island of the Dolls) , which for decades has been home to hundreds of decaying dolls ,they are in the trees and , on the ground , on wooden fence posts

• The island was once the property of Don Julián Santana, a local farmer. Legend has it that in 1950 he saw a little girl drown in the canal and her spirit began haunting the place and in order to appease her, he bought several old dolls and hung them around the island .

• The spirit of the little girl is still here,” he says. “It’s important not to remove the dolls.”. 

• Visitors to the island have reported the dolls eyes following them as well as sounds of whispers and giggling !
